Let’s make wine, plum brandy and blue berry brandy
The production and consumption of alcohol have a long history almost as old as that of mankind. In the case of Romanians, it is customary for them to produce their own alcoholic beverages (such as brandy - a kind of plum brandy, cherry brandy, cranberries brandy, etc.) produced mainly for own consumption. Depending on the product obtained after the fruit fermentation process, we can identify two types of traditional beverages: fermented (wine, cider) and distilled (plum brandy, cherry brandy, cranberries brandy). The production of alcoholic beverages in Bukovina is a process that requires a high degree of patience and involves certain abilities, from choosing the fruits to their selection, fermentation and distillation.
